    • Ledger has raised $108 million in an extension to its Series C funding round to help people secure their cryptocurrencies.

    • The France-based crypto hardware maker previously raised $380 million in June 2021, taking its valuation to around $1.4 billion.

    • Existing investors Molten Ventures, 10T, Cité Gestion Private Bank, Cap Horn, Morgan Creek, Cathay Innovation, and Korelya Capital, along with new investors True Global Ventures, Digital Finance Group and VaynerFund, participated in the funding round.

    • Ledger's cold hardware wallets allow owners to have full custody and security over their assets.

    • The company secures over 20% of the world's cryptocurrencies and more than 30% of NFTs, and the funds will help it bring "secure consumer devices to hundreds of millions" exploring digital assets and blockchain-enabled technology.
